Lanes for Lane Event Branding

Overview:

The visual identity and campaign for Lanes for Lane were developed for a charity bowling event supporting the Lane Thomas Foundation, a children’s organ donor organization. The system was designed to create cohesion across digital promotion and in-person event materials, supporting awareness and engagement for the fundraiser.

Role:

Lead Visual Designer. Led the visual identity and campaign design, developing a complete system that included logo design, typography, color palette, and supporting assets across digital, print, and motion applications. Collaborated with internal teams to ensure consistency across all event touchpoints from concept through launch.

Approach:

I began by developing the event logo and establishing a flexible visual system, including color palette, typography, and supporting graphic elements.

To reflect the foundation’s mission and audience, I created a tone that felt both playful and heartfelt while staying aligned with the existing brand. Drawing from the foundation’s signature blues and yellows—chosen to honor the founders’ son and symbolize hope—I introduced recurring motifs like blue ribbons and light beams.

These elements became the foundation of a scalable identity applied across event collateral, social media, web design, and video content, ensuring a consistent and recognizable presence across all touchpoints.

Impact:

The Lanes for Lane event consistently raises $75,000–$80,000 each year, directly supporting families and children impacted by the costs and challenges of organ donation. The visual identity helped strengthen recognition of the event and supported ongoing engagement across campaigns. The identity system continues to be used and adapted for subsequent event iterations.
